On Praxis, a knowledge base is a collection of notebooks on a specific theme, managed by an organization with recognized expertise in that area.
Purpose of Knowledge Bases
Praxis knowledge bases are designed to intentionally organize a set of knowledge for a targeted audience, linked by a specific theme, sector of activity, approach, event, etc. Organizations can create their own knowledge bases to facilitate access to their organizational knowledge.
Praxis allows for the creation of six types of knowledge bases: Thematic, Territorial, Organizational, Sectoral, Event-based, and General.
To ensure that a knowledge base reaches its audience and becomes a reference, the Projet collectif team recommends that it possesses a set of characteristics.
Examples of Knowledge Bases
- ArtAI: General knowledge base that brings together practical, theoretical and experiential knowledge from the ArtIA project, led by Sporobole, Société des arts technologiques (SAT) and Projet collectif.
- Open Knowledge Day: An event-based knowledge base that gathers information leading up to and knowledge shared during the annual Open Knowledge Day event.
- Montréal en commun: An organizational knowledge base that brings together learnings from the Montréal en commun urban innovation program.
Creating a Knowledge Base
All knowledge bases are developed with support from the Projet collectif editorial team.
