Video Pool is an artist run, not-for-profit, charitable organization. Our mandate is to support technology based art (multi-channel installations, AR / VR / XR, experimental audio / video, coding, etc.). We are a member-based organization, and a hub for artists and arts organizations to understand and utilize technology in creation and exhibition of art.
Video Pool strives to be a national leader fostering innovation, experimentation, critical dialogue and advocacy in media arts. Video Pool Media Arts Centre aims to inspire curiosity and creative expression through technological empowerment and open exploration in all media art forms, cultivating experimental artistic practices and accessibility to technology through presentation, production, distribution, and education. Video Pool houses the largest collection of prairie video art in Canada, presents work at the intersection of technology and art in its Poolside Gallery, and The Output, its A/V performance and rehearsal venue, provides new opportunities for performance based work.
