PÍa Baltazar est compositrice intermedia, chercheuse indisciplinaire et directrice de la recherche-création à la Société des Arts Technologiques (SAT). Issue d’une triple formation en ingénierie, en philosophie de l’art et en composition musicale, sa démarche de recherche artistique et technologique se développe depuis plus de vingt ans à l’intersection du design interactif et de la production artistique. Dans le cadre de la stratégie d’innovation de la SAT, elle s’attache à créer des ponts entre les créateur·rices, les centres de recherche universitaires, les organisations des industries culturelles et créatives. Dans cette perspective, son programme de recherche à long terme pour la SAT vise la production d’outils collaboratifs pour la création immersive et collective, dans une démarche de recherche-création.

Pía Baltazar is an intermedia composer, interdisciplinary researcher, and Director of Research-Creation at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT). With a triple background in engineering, philosophy of art, and musical composition, her artistic and technological research practice has been evolving for over twenty years at the intersection of interactive design and artistic production. As part of SAT’s innovation strategy, she is committed to building bridges between creators, university research centers, and organizations within the cultural and creative industries. In this context, her long-term research program at SAT focuses on developing collaborative tools for immersive and collective creation through a research-creation approach.
