Mainframe logo

Mainframe is The New Gallery’s online platform for web based projects. These online exhibitions are an extension of The New Gallery’s Main Space programming. Mainframe prioritizes accessibility in distributing art to the public, especially for those who are unable to attend in person programming. Mainframe is dedicated to furthering The New Gallery’s mandate to support the research, creation and exhibition of socially relevant and politically informed creative practices from artists at all junctures of their careers, while enabling public engagement with artist-run culture and contemporary art. Historically, online spaces have held space for sub-cultures, minorities and the voices of many who are otherwise unheard. Mainframe acknowledges this historical trend through its web-based medium and endeavors to continue this legacy. Visit Mainframe Here

The Mainframe Project is possible due to the support of Calgary Foundation, Calgary Arts Development and Canada Council for the Arts.
